Divining Divinity: Seeking the Gods of Britain

Monday, February 20 at 9:00 AM10:30 AM in PST
Set in writing during medieval times, but believed to have their origins in Celtic Pagan Britain, the myths and legends of Wales do not directly identify any divinities — yet figures such as Rhiannon, Ceridwen, and Lleu are nonetheless widely worshiped by modern Pagans as gods. Using etymology, linguistics, syncretism, and symbology, we will explore some of the major figures from the Welsh pantheon in order to excavate the truth of their natures. We will also consider the broader question of what constitutes a god, as well as the connection between cultural needs and cosmological development.

Spiritual Sovereignty and the Avalonian Oracle

Sunday, February 19 at 5 PM6 PM in PST

The Avalonian Oracle
is a pictorial encapsulation of the fundamental elements of the Avalonian Tradition, a modern day reconstruction of the path of the Celtic Priestess. Drawing upon Welsh Mythos, British Legend, and the Mysteries of the ancient Celtic Druids, the Avalonian Tradition is a contemporary spiritual path of inner transformation and personal sovereignty.

Together, we will explore several ways to approach The Avalonian Oracle, and to use it as a tool in our quest for inner sovereignty:

  • As a divinatory tool that provides insight and guidance on the inner journey to the Self, the Goddess, and to the very shores of the Holy Island of Avalon.
  • As a means to present a transformational symbol set that will stimulate and energize hidden pathways, open doorways into the psyche, and help the seeker access the realms of the Otherworld.
  • As a learning tool to assist the seeker in connecting with the spiritual and philosophical principles of the Avalonian Tradition.
